Headed to Waco Texas today, we are seeing the countryside that Liz thinks Texas is known for. Hills, cattle and horse farms. Saw a farm that had buffalo and we actually saw a zebra. Is Texas known for zebras? Have seen a few drive thru garage liquor stores. Quite the site but didn't have the camera handy to take a picture before we had gone by it. No place to pull over and couldn't turn around and go back so will keep my eyes open for another one some other place.
Wind is really blowing up from the south. Day started out with no wind but as the day continues the wind is getting stronger. Today we stopped at an Army Corp of Engineers Park, Midway Park on Waco Lake.

Today was a day to catch up on household duties, laundry, grocery shop and clean and wash the motorhome and trailer. We did however get a ride in today. Today was just one of those days, not much to report.

these were in cameron park not quite sure what they are, no signs to tell you |
We were off an riding today. We traveled thru town over to the Brazos River. There is a river walk that goes from Cameron park all the way down to Baylor University with lots to see. Walked across the suspension bridge, saw the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, drove over to Baylor University. Campus looks really nice, lots of green grass. Dubbie got his exercise today. Dubbie tried to enroll in Baylor today at the graduate school for motorcycle riding, he was not accepted, admissions stated that he was too qualified. (LOL) He is really doing good riding on the motorcycle in his little travel carrier. Quite the trooper. We get quite a few thumbs up at stop lights because Dubbie puts his head out of his little carrier and people think its pretty neat otherwise they think the bike is neat, not quite sure what it is but we are having a great time.
We really enjoyed being outside today, temp was about 81. Tonight there was another beautiful sunset.
Traveling through the middle of Texas is not all that exciting we are working our way to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Before we get there we will be staying in Ballinger, Texas. Travel time is about 4 hours.
